Custody advice please?

You not receiving child support isn't going to help you when it comes to your wanting to move. Custody/visitation and support are two different things. Child support is not payment for seeing the child. I suggest you go to court now and ask for permission to leave the state with your child. Do not confront your child's father about this, go through the court system, it will go much better for you if you do. And by no means should you attempt to leave the state without the court's permission because if you do you CAN be arrested and charged with kidnapping and then your son will have BOTH parents in prison on felony charges and he will be placed into foster care.
