I know that brillant minds are working on BP disaster, but did they think of a wide funnel tube temp solution?

A funnel held by robots 1 mile below that places the top half of the funnel exactly onto the gushing oil, as temp solution instead of polluting this area until all marine life is dead. what do u think?
