Why does my computer say "Spooler Service Not Started"?

Can't install my printer. I get this error message: Spooler Service Not Started--Setup has determined that the spooler service is stopped. In order to continue install, it must be started. Do you want the spooler services started? I click OK and nothing happens. Then I went to Administrative Settings and opened the Services Shortcut, opened the Print Spooler and clicked Start the spooler service then got this error message: SERVICE--Could not start the print spooler service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start. Help!! P.S. I just got the computer back from the shop because they cleaned it for viruses.
